Prince Edward Island Travel Adventure Guides
I spent a week in Prince Edward Island with a group of friends. We did the usual things, such as enjoying a lobster dinner and a lobster roll. It was not only about the food as we hiked many of the trails from the North Cape to the Greenwich Dundes (photo above).
I did spend time on some of the famous red sand beaches, visited Charlottetown, and went to a festival in Summerside, a great museum to the Acadians so you can pack a lot in during your visit. Read more and start planning your trip below!

Visiting Prince Edward Island for the first time?
You will want to spend a day or so in Charlottetown. Then head to Prince Edward Island National Park, either Cavendish or quieter Stanhope, if camping. In Cavendish, visit the Gables Heritage Site and hike some of the trails, but more interesting trails may be found in the Dunelands section of the park. If you have a rental car, you can explore other parts of the island, including North Cape, Summerside, see the Acadian Museum, and visit some of the fishing ports. For me, a highlight was the lobster dinner at the New Glasgow Restaurant and lobster roll at Richards (several locations).
